What's New?
Picture
In an attempt at providing the utmost clarity to site visitors, the Webmaster has made this page available. Admittedly he's too lazy to update it frequently, but it's the thought that counts, right?

Mango's Office Revamp
Work on the Reviews Section
Tuesday, July 9th, 2019
I'm still continuing my efforts to perform lots of extensive updates behind the scenes, though some stuff is on hiatus due to an ongoing move currently. I've got several different plans in the works, but many of them are far behind where I'd like to be.

Currently, there are only two sections that are still down since the Summer 2017 update. These are the Reviews section and the Links section. These sections are receiving massive face-lifts, plus new subsections, pages, and reviews. I hope to complete them in the near future. Another area still receiving a lot of work is the Calendar section. One of the first undertakings is the Historical Calendar subsection, which is continuing to be built off the On This Day events used in my Twitter posts. I also have other subsections in the works, but they are far from done.

A recent page restructuring has occurred in the Mango's Office section. This includes the move of the Mango's Snack Reviews subsection to the barely-relaunched Reviews section..

Necessary Updates to the Counseling and Prevention Resources Page
Due to recent complaints about delayed assistance and false information from service providers, new rules are to be instituted for provider additions to the page.

Effective immediately, all new additions will be better vetted by the Webmaster. Requests for addition from organization representatives is still permitted, but new rules include:
  • Providers must have an established physical presence through a permanent telephone number. If services cover multiple jurisdictions with different numbers, the main number for the national switchboard is preferred.
  • Providers must be able to assist any callers in the United States, or have the ability to re-direct them to the proper service in their jurisdiction.
  • Providers must be able to assist callers with trained in-house staff counseling, or be able to re-direct them to a more specialized service.

Any providers who do not meet these criteria will have their submissions denied.

In the coming weeks, all services currently on the page that do not meet these criteria will be struck from the page without warning.

Previous Updates:

I've continued my efforts to perform lots of extensive updates behind the scenes. I've got several different plans in the works, but many of them are far behind where I'd like to be because I procrastinate a bit too much.

Additional new content includes extra pages added to the Mango's Office section. This includes the Mango's Accounts page and a restructuring of Mango's Snack Reviews.

Website security and compliance has been a major project recently. Tsumango's Tea Time now has an SSL certificate for better security. This brings the website into full security compliance with modern Internet standards. In additon, the website has achieved near-full compliance with GDPR. Our policies were updated and a cookie notice pop-up was added for new users to comply with European Union guidelines.

While I haven't updated the dates on the home page in a while, I've been doing extensive work behind the scenes. Much of this work will hopefully be revealed sometime this year.

For starters, almost all sections are back up after the name/domain switch. The last hold-out is the Reviews section. This section is recieving a massive face-lift, plus new sections, pages, and reviews.

Another area recieving a lot of work is the Calendar section, one of the newest sections to this website. One of the first undertakings is the Historical Calendar subsection, which is being built off the On This Day events used in my Twitter posts.

A section still in need of major renovations is the Links section. I hope to get to it eventually.

It will be a while before everything is online, since I'm still working on the last sections of the switchover, but pages will be returned as soon as they are updated.

I also still hope to take on the challenge of converting all older links on the website to Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS). For the technically-challenged, that means changing things like http://www.google.com/ to https://www.google.com/. In light of recent hacking and data theft, I feel this is the least I can do for my visitors (even if it's not very much).

Welcome to Tsumango's Tea Time!

This is my first What's New? on the new domain. Yes, this site has been around for quite some time...

I've moved from r-hoz.weebly.com to tsumangokotobuki.com, as well as left my R-Hoz username that was in use from 2002 - 2012. As I'm using TsumangoKotobuki across all other accounts, I thought it was time to do the same here.

It will be a while before everything is online, since I'm still working on the switchover, but pages will be returned as soon as they are updated.
